Supporting Every Student, Every Step of the Way

At Cesar Chavez Middle School, our Counseling Team is dedicated to helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are here to guide students through the challenges of middle school, support their personal growth, and help them prepare for high school and beyond.
What We Do:
Our counselors provide a variety of services, including:
-
Academic Support: Course selection, study skills, goal setting, and organization
-
Social-Emotional Support: Peer relationships, conflict resolution, and emotional wellness
-
High School & Career Readiness: Introduction to A–G requirements, high school options, and future planning
-
Crisis Intervention: Support during times of stress, loss, or emergency
-
Family Support: Communication with teachers, connecting families with resources, and helping parents understand their child’s development
How to Meet with a Counselor:
Students can request to meet with a counselor by submitting a counselor request form available in the front office or online. Parents and guardians are also welcome to reach out to schedule appointments to discuss academic concerns, behavior, or student well-being.
