Dream of becoming the next Steven Spielberg? At Cesar Chavez Middle School, our Film Class gives students the chance to step behind the camera and bring their stories to life!

What You’ll Do

In this creative, hands-on course, students learn the fundamentals of filmmaking, including:

  • Storyboarding and script planning

  • Filming and camera techniques

  • Sound design and audio editing

  • Video editing and post-production

  • Collaboration and teamwork

Whether you’re into writing, directing, acting, or editing, this class helps you explore every part of the filmmaking process.

Beyond the Classroom

Students can also join the Photocinema Club—a fun, collaborative space where film lovers come together to work on projects, share ideas, and grow their skills outside of class time.
