Dear Cesar Chavez Middle School Toros,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am thrilled to begin another year alongside our incredible school community as we continue our mission to support the whole child – academically, socially, and emotionally.
At Cesar Chavez Middle School, our vision is to engage all scholars in a rigorous college- and career-going culture. Through a challenging academic curriculum, we empower students with the tools and intrinsic motivation they need to succeed. Rooted in equity and inclusivity, our school culture thrives on respect, collaboration, and innovation, where every voice matters.
We are proud to be recognized once again as a School to Watch, a reflection of our continued excellence and commitment to student success. Our award-winning MESA program continues to grow—now with a dedicated elective that offers even more opportunities for students to engage in hands-on, project-based learning.
This year, we’re also expanding student support through programs like The Movement and AVID, which offer mentorship, tutoring, and guidance to prepare our scholars for high school and beyond. For those interested in athletics and wellness, our afterschool LevelUp Lynwood program and Students Run Los Angeles provide fun and meaningful opportunities to stay active and build community.
