Orientation & Registration 2024-2025

 

 

Registration Schedule 


STEP 1: Check your LUSD student Gmail account (ex: ssslll222[email protected]

Orientation Forms will need to be completed digitally via the Aeries Parent Portal. All students must go through the registration process, whether they attended an LUSD school last year or are new to the district.

STEP 2: Complete all sections required

Please make sure you complete every section and submit.

STEP 3: Complete Forms Electronically

Please complete authorizations on the Aeries portal, including the Title I form.

Please print out the data confirmation form and sign it after completing the online registration. Please keep the final confirmation page and informational packet for your records. 

STEP 4: Final Information upload

Please open the Orientation Page link.

If you are an incoming 7th grade student, you must upload your immunization record on our orientation page. All 7th graders must bring evidence of their TDAP vaccination.

Also, if your address differs from your Aeries account, please upload your proof of address no older than 30 days.

STEP 5: Attend your Orientation Assigned Date and Time

We strongly encourage that you attend on your student's assigned date and time. In addition, expect extended wait times during this registration process because we will be registering over 850 students.

Reminders for your Orientation/Registration Day:

  • Grade 8: Return your 7th grade textbooks and library books
  • Grade 7: Please contact your elementary school to return your 6th grade textbooks prior to your orientation.
  • Receive a Chromebook if one is not checked-out. Chromebook insurance will be available for purchase during this time. To insure your student's Chromebook, you will need to bring your student's Chromebook and bring payment, preferably cash. Insurance is available for one year at $20 and for four years at the price of $70. 
  • Receive textbooks
  • Sign up for before and afterschool programs and sports
  • Purchase P.E. Clothes
  • Signatures for the documents:
    • Title I (Parent Signature)
    • Three-way Compact (Parent and Student Signature)
    • Data Confirmation Page (Parent Signature)

**Additional Registration Information**

 

Please be advised, prior to creating an Aeries Parent Portal, an active email account is required. Gmail account works best with our student database Aeries. Below is the tutorial/steps on how to create an email and parent portal accounts.

 

STUDENT ORIENTATION INFORMATION

 

Current LUSD students who attended LUSD elementary schools will have orientation on the dates above. All student must complete the Orientation Forms electronically. Please follow the instructions below on how to submit your orientation forms.

 

If you did not receive this information via the USPS, please contact the main office at (310) 886-7300 to ensure your child is enrolled at Cesar Chavez Middle School.

 

You may also click on School Locator on the right to verify your address belongs to Cesar Chavez Middle School. Should your address not belong to Cesar Chavez Middle School, it will indicate your home school.

 

If you would like to attend Cesar Chavez Middle School for this upcoming school year and your home school is not Cesar Chavez Middle School, please make sure you visit the Student Services Department at our District Office to request an intra-district permit.

 

For Online Orientation, make sure you have the following:

Have an active personal account (Gmail works best)
Create or update your Aeries Parent Portal
